NCCCO Crane Operator Training
NCCCO preparation classes are held twice a month at our Bakersfield facility, Monday - Friday evening 5-9 pm. This allows the candidates to work their normal day shift and then attend class after work.
Some of the topics we cover in the class include:
OSHA 29CFR 1926, Subpart CC,
ANSI B30.5/ASME Regs Pertaining to Construction Cranes
Common Safe Field Practices
Proper Crane Set Up
Rigging
Inspections
Safety Devices
Maintenance
Interpretation of Load Charts.
83% of all crane accidents are caused by operator errors. By understanding the crabe fundamentals of stability, leverage, structural limitations and ground compaction issues, as well as underground, overhead hazards and rigging, you will be a safer, more productive operator.
During the practical sessions (hands-on training), you will learn the basics of load control and crane setup on the actual test course and crane. Once you demonstrate consistant competence in operation, you are tested. Your instructor, who is also a NCCCO Practical examiner, will administer your tests.
NCCCO Crane Operator Certification Cards will be issues to you by NCCCO upon passing the written Core and Specialties Exams, and the Practical Exam.
